SkyView is Atlanta’s Ferris wheel that overlooks Centennial Olympic Park in the downtown area. Hours are typically midday through late at night, so you can view the city in daylight or after dark. Before or after your visit, walk to nearby Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Center or College Football Hall of Fame or eat at the neighboring Waffle House.
SkyView is a 8-minute walk away from two train stations: Peachtree Center on the red and gold lines and the GWCC/CNN Station on the blue and green lines. The walk is less hilly from the GWCC/CNN Station. If you’re traveling with kids and need an emergency bathroom en route, public facilities are located in Peachtree Center and the CNN Center.
If any e-scooters are available near either train station, you can rent one to speed up your commute.
Outside the Peachtree Center train station is the Peachtree Center streetcar stop (use the Ellis Street/Peachtree Street East station exit). Pay a separate $1 fee to ride the streetcar to the Centennial Olympic Park stop. Download the ATL Streetcar app for iOS or Android to purchase tickets in advance or via the vending machine at the streetcar stop.
The streetcar also travels to the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site for additional sightseeing.
Bus 26 travels on Marietta Street near SkyView and travels to the Georgia State University campus via Decatur Street and on Joseph E. Boone Blvd.
