The CNN Center is in downtown Atlanta next to the State Farm Arena, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Centennial Olympic Park and the Georgia World Congress Center. The first floor contains a food court, restrooms and shops open to the public, or use the Wells Fargo ATM machine and post office. News fans can sign up for the CNN Studio Tour to go behind-the-scenes.
Take a blue or green line train to the GWCC/CNN Station and follow the signs to the Philips Arena exit. Turn right at street level and go up the steps (turn left for a ramp) up to Centennial Olympic Park Drive. Walk about a half-block to reach the main entrance to the building next to the big “CNN” letters (pictured above).
Outside the Peachtree Center train station is the Peachtree Center streetcar stop (use the Ellis Street/Peachtree Street East station exit). Pay a separate $1 fee to ride the streetcar to the Centennial Olympic Park stop. Walking time from this stop to the CNN Center is about 5 minutes via Centennial Olympic Park Drive (you can also enter the building from Marietta Street). Download the ATL Streetcar app for iOS or Android to purchase tickets in advance or via the vending machine at the streetcar stop.
The streetcar also travels to the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site for additional sightseeing.
Bus 26 travels on Marietta Street and stops next to the CNN Center with service to and from the Georgia State University campus via Decatur Street and on Joseph E. Boone Blvd.
